One of the things that distinguishes Worldox from other document management systems is the ability to integrate with sites on the web. Thus when you upload or download documents from various legal web sites, Worldox pops up and offers to save the document. Out of the box integration includes Pacer, CMEF, US Patent office, various estate and gift tax forms (706 and 709) and even the California Jury Instructions. Because of the way Worldox is designed, if you need integration with various other state or federal sites (every court web site tends to be slightly different), Worldox tech support will probably be able to write it for you in about 15 minutes.
There is, however, one significant limitation. Most sites upload and download files (typically PDFs). However, if you try to download an entire web page, integration will likely fail. The reason for this is that a standard web page is not a document, but an assemblage of documents. For example, each graphic on a page is probably individual graphics file (*.png), held together by web scripts (*.js or *.css files). Thus downloading a “page” may involve downloading a dozen or more files. At best, if the page in question is a pure html file, you can download it. But if it is an assemblage of files, you will have problems.
So if you need to save a web page, the only way to do it in Worldox is to save it as a pdf.
