My latest small law column, “Everything You Need to Know About Online Storage” has been posted to the Technolawyer Small Firm site (the somewhat grandiose title comes from Technlawyer).
The column tries to work backwards, as it were. Starting from various functionality that a small firm may wish to have, what solutions might accomplish this? To me, this makes a lot more sense than saying “we have to be in the cloud” and then figuring out what it will (or won’t) do for you.
The article covers issues concerning cloud-based backup; synchronization of files between the cloud and your local PC, Productivity Applications in the Cloud (such as Google Docs), and cloud-based document management.
